About Vidyom
What is Vidyom?
A school management platform — the operating system for a school — covering fees, admissions, academics, operations, HR, communications and compliance on one shared, auditable ledger.
Who is it for?
India’s budget and affordable private schools (APS) — typically tier-2 and tier-3 schools that run on cash, patchy networks and low-end Android, and the groups and trusts that operate several of them.
Do we need internet at the fee desk?
No. Cash collection works offline — the device holds an outbox and confirms idempotently when it reconnects, so receipts stay gapless and nothing is double-charged.
Is there a parent app?
Yes — parents see fees, attendance, report cards and notices, and pay by UPI, in their language.
How does Vidyom handle privacy?
It is built for India’s DPDP Act: verifiable parental consent for minors, per-purpose consent, data-principal rights on SLA clocks, and a dual-clock breach response. Student PII is never sent to a third-party AI model.
Can we keep our existing data?
Yes. Opening balances and records are imported and validated during onboarding, so you start with your real history.
How long does it take to go live?
Most schools go live on fee collection quickly, then roll out the remaining modules at their own pace.
Do you support school groups?
Yes — an operator console gives groups and trusts cross-school oversight, central subscriptions, and per-school white-labelling.

Is GST included?
No — prices are exclusive of 18% GST, which is added on the tax invoice.
How is communication billed?
SMS / WhatsApp is metered through a comms-credit wallet you top up; you only pay for what is sent.
Can we start with just fees?
Yes. Most schools start on Starter to get fee collection right, then move to Growth as they roll out the rest.
Do you help us migrate?
Yes — opening balances and existing records are imported and validated during onboarding.
Where is our data stored?
In India, isolated per school with fail-closed row-level security. Your data is never shared with another school.
