Every facility charge posts to the ONE fee ledger -- no orphan sub-ledgers
Library overdue fines, hostel mess bills, store sales and transport fees all raise a charge on the same append-only fee ledger in integer paise, inside the operation's own transaction. There is no second money system to reconcile -- the campus and the fee desk share one source of truth.
Live vehicle-safety alerts: geofence, over-speed, route-deviation and SOS
On each accepted, downsampled GPS ping the engine detects geofence arrival, over-speed and route deviation, and a panic/SOS is queued idempotently and escalated to the coordinator, owner and guardians. The live carrier device feed (AIS-140/OBD) is a ready adapter -- stubbed OFF by default, enabled with a provider credential and the telematics flag; the detection and alerting logic is already built.
Child-pickup custody-direction gate -- fail-closed at the gate
A minor is released only when the effective custody order resolves unambiguously, the collecting party is identified, is on the child's authorised-pickup roster and is not barred by a custody order, and a guardian photo-compare and OTP pass. An ambiguous or unreadable order refuses the release. Each release appends to a hash-chained custody ledger.
Health records held at DPDP Tier-3 -- encrypted, consent-gated, never over-projected
A clinical description is Tier-3 sensitive child data: it is field-level encrypted, its ciphertext is never SELECTed into a triage list, and reading the full record is consent-gated and fails closed with no consent. Erasure and per-student key derivation are built in.

Child safety on transport
No child is ever left behind on a parked bus
When a trip ends, Vidyom demands a seat-by-seat sweep before the bus can be signed off — and a backstop sweep fires on its own if the driver forgets to end the trip.

A sale that could harm a child simply won’t go through
At the canteen counter, every bill item is cross-checked against that child’s allergen contraindications. A clash refuses the sale — 422, held — until staff explicitly acknowledge the risk. No allergy notes are ever pulled; only a safe/unsafe verdict.
